One Crazy Thing After Another

We have been way too busy lately.  I need another vacation!  Everyday life is crazy.  I'm also kicking around the idea of moving my blog to another site.  Me and Xanga are going round and round right now (making me crazy) and I just might make the move...again.

4 + hours in an empty (no computer, no phone, no radio, no television) office waiting on the Cox guy to show up and you'd shoot your 2.5 year old in the head with a sticky dart too.  No children were harmed in the taking of this picture.

At least he's cute and at least mommy thought to bring cars.  We had lots of races waiting on the Cox guy.

Ethan had his first dentist appointment this past week.  How'd it go?  This is all he let them do.  No looking in the mouth, no counting of the teeth, no brushing of the teeth, just sitting in the chair.  At least he did that. 

I finally found a bedskirt (thank you Target) and got bins for Ethan's bookcase.  So now I just have to paint his table and his chalkboard. 

Well, today I would have loved to have gotten up early and gone to a few garage sales and maybe the Farmer's Market but I was enjoying my nice comfy bed too much to get up.  Maybe next week.  Have a happy weekend!

New Tile

Semi-After

Our bathroom is tiled, grouted and ready for the baseboards to be put back on.  The toilet is back in and I can't believe how big of a difference the tile makes.  I LOVE it!  Why did we wait 3 years to do this?!?  Now on to bathroom #2.

Fourth of July Weekend

We've been taking it easy.  After being involved in VBS for 5 straight nights, it's nice to not have to do anything.  We didn't even watch the fireworks this year.  Call me a dork but with a sick (runny nose and cough) 2.5 year old, it limits your activities.  Ok enough about that. Here is what we've been doing for the past week...

More pictures from Zann's graduation.  Can you tell which family is mine and which is Zann's?  It's real hard.

Ethan wanted to take his mimi to the zoo.  That's the first trip we've made to the zoo in a really long time.

This little boy is super cute.  What do you think?

While we were at VBS every night this week, our family graciously said they'd watch Ethan for 4 hours each night. 

Ethan loves to torture Kai-lee bug.

We're tiling our master bathroom...finally...after 3 years of having carpet in the bathroom.  Who puts carpet in a bathroom?  Seriously.  We'll do the guest bath too and retile the kitchen eventually.  Then, I get new carpet in the entire house soon!  I can't wait for that!

Ethan's Room

Ethan's bed and bookcase at the end of his bed.  I still have to get a couple of baskets to go in the cubbies in the bookcase.

The shelf above the bookcase is all OU stuff.  I didn't intend to do that, it just happened.  Ethan loves it though.  The OU pennant was Zann's when he was growing up so I'm excited to be able to put it in Ethan's room.  Then, the baseball pictures are above his bed.

His dresser area.  There is a 1951 OU yearbook that was my grandpa Dick's who passed away when Ethan was 4.5 months old.  The yearbook has some neat pictures in it and my grandpa is in it too so I'll be able to show Ethan when he gets older.  My grandpa was such a special man to me.  And those are the cutest Norman Rockwell pictures.  There is a golf one and a football one.  I had a hard time finding sports other than baseball.  I don't think Ethan minds though.  He loves to play baseball.

His window wall.  I still need to paint his table and chairs (that he got for his 1st birthday) and we're doing a big chalkboard for the blank wall to the left of the table.  I still need to find a bedskirt that isn't ruffled.  I'm having a hard time finding a navy one.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I also need to get a big toy basket so all his toys can stay in his room.

We are keeping busy.  There is always something going on.  And I can't believe it's already July!  Crazy!  Well it's nap time and I've got to get a very wound up 2.5 year old calmed down enough to go to sleep!
